Victor Gago

Labour Law specialist lawyer with 12 years of professional experience. He began his career at Careaga Abogados, where he worked from 2013 to 2018. During that period, he developed as a company-focused lawyer in both civil and labour matters, acting as local counsel for the insurer Helvetia and the mutual society Asepeyo.

In 2018, he founded the law firm Gago & Rubio Abogados, specialising in labour and social security law. For seven years, he served as legal counsel to the trade union Langile Sindikal Batasuna – Unión Sindical Obrera (LSB-USO), providing advisory, representation and litigation services. This experience enabled him to acquire extensive knowledge of collective bargaining, conflict resolution, employment relations and trade union matters. Between 2023 and 2025, he also served as counsel in Álava for the mutual society La Fraternidad Muprespa, managing the full range of judicial proceedings handled by the organisation as a collaborating entity in social security matters.

He has also taken part in legal innovation and technology projects, such as the development of the ReclamaTúMismo platform, aimed at automating the management of unpaid debts and judicial claims for invoices against companies. This project was carried out within the EkintZaile support programme promoted by the Provincial Council of Álava and SPRI.

In 2025, he joined BSK Legal & Fiscal, where he continues to develop his professional career, providing comprehensive labour law advice to companies: managing individual and collective dismissals, disciplinary sanctions, employment regulation proceedings (EREs/ERTEs), inspections by the Labour Authority and employment litigation.
